Each‬‭ piece is inspired by a symbol of‬‭ The New Yorker’s‬‭ namesake city and was designed by the‬‭ longtime cover artist Christoph Nieman, including a skyscraper, a taxicab, and the Statue of‬‭ Liberty. The king, of course, is Eustace Tilley, the top-hatted dandy who appears every February‬‭ on the magazine’s cover‬‭.‬
